And now for something fun and inspirational. If you haven't heard of Matt, star of the crazy dancing and travel videos on YouTube, check them out. You can't help but smile and laugh. Back in 2005, when Matt was backpacking through Asia, he thought it would be fun to dance in front of famous landmarks. Here is his original dancing video that started it all:
After obtaining some fame, he made another video in 2006:
This was when he had his “aha” moment: after dancing with some kids in Rwanda he realized that dancing with other people was a lot more entertaining than solo-dancing in front of tourist landmarks. But enough from me, go and read his story for yourself. No really. Go and read it. It's inspiring. I'll wait here for you. Off you go.
So here is his 2008 video, where he made it his mission to dance with as many people around the world as possible:
And finally, his 2012 video:
Isn't that cool, or what? Amazing how something as simple as dancing can bring people together and inspire people to travel and engage with other cultures. On his web site you can find outtakes and other cool videos, and even sign up to dance with Matt when he visits your town.
Now tell me that watching those videos didn't make you smile, or marvel about our world?
