19th century London would be awesome, though I agree the life expectancy is probably pretty low. Depends how well to do you are I suppose. 🙂

I want to meet a Jedi!

But even w/herbal stuff, I wouldn’t like to be at the mercy of illnesses like they were. They certainly did change the world, with their fondness for exploration/settling (okay, and we’ll throw ruthless plundering in there, too…).

There are just so many worlds, and I know after I hit Enter on this comment I’ll think of some I missed. But here’re the ones that immediately spring to mind: Tamora Pierce’s Tortall, David Weber’s Honorverse, Carrie Vaughn’s alternate universe of Kitty Norville or that of Patricia Briggs’s Mercy Thompson, Robert Asprin’s world of Phule’s Company, and most definitely Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar. Hmmm… I may have to go revisit some of these. So many worlds to explore, so little time.

I haven’t read that series, but I wouldn’t mind living in your viking world. The Viking sagas fascinate me, and not just because I am descended from one. Again, it’s that exploration gene.

Hmmmm…besides heaven, I’d probably say that I enjoyed the world from Westerfield’s YA “Pretties” series…I’d just want to have a hoverboard to take ridiculous chances on! I’m sure there are other worlds I’ve loved, but that’s the one that comes to mind.
