					<description><![CDATA[The only stress I have is not believing in myself, and constantly worrying about the standard of my writing. Right now, as a self-pub, I am enjoying the marketing side of things even though it takes up time. I have met some great people along the way and every good review I get is exciting! I don&#039;t worry about a routine, or finding time to write...I do it as it comes to me and I guess that is a good thing about being your own boss, you can set your own deadlines. I think I would be more stressed if my publisher/agent wanted a certain about of books in a certain amound ot time.]]></description>

I think you have a very sensible approach to reviews, but I&#039;m sure it will hurt when we both (inevitably) get a 1-star review. Heh, can&#039;t please everyone.

These are tough times for authors, but I&#039;m sure they have been harder in the past. The internet is not just the cause of so many new authors getting involved and stressing about marketing, but is also the medium for a lot of advice and support. Old school writers never had that and we should be glad of it. No more, is writing a lonely profession.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[I&#039;ve wondered about self-pubbing, too, but know I don&#039;t want to throw that much of my life into marketing (though perhaps I already do that with the platform-building efforts...). I&#039;m not too stressed about bad Amazon reviews, but then again, I don&#039;t have a published book yet! I do think books are kind of subjective, and I appreciate an honest 2-3 star review to a glowing, fake, 5-star one. But I don&#039;t understand marketing, so it might be the stroke of death to get too many 2-star reviews. And YES, there is a huge emphasis on getting that MS edited and well-nigh perfect BEFORE even querying it. Tough times.]]></description>
